It was founded by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1569. Legend has it that, Saint Salim told Akbar

Itmad-Ud-Daulah

The Mughal architecture was reborn through Itmad-Ud-Daulah, as it was the first mausoleum to be built completely out of marble. Also called baby Taj, Itmad-Ud-Daulah was built in the memory of Mirzā Ghiyās Beg, the father-in-law of Jehangir.
