Its menu includes signature drinks such as Rocket Fuel (a cold-brew coffee with chicory, maple syrup, and milk), Voodoo Child (another cold brew, but crafted in a Vietnamese style), and Strawberry Iced Tea.

Setting itself apart from others, Bean Square is an organic coffee shop. Brick walls, couches, and coffee tables create a casual atmosphere, making it a great place to not only grab coffee, but also to sit and stay a while. As another organic coffee shop, Ateaz boasts a slogan of “New York’s favorite organic coffee and tea.” While the Vanilla Earl Grey blend is a best seller, Ateaz has many other blends to choose from including Ethiopian Yirgacheffee, Costa Rican Naranjo, and a Columbian Sierra Nevada dark roast.

If you want to venture some distance away from Queens, this retro coffee shop is a good place to start. The shop’s cute outdoor patio area, tucked away behind the shop with high wooden walls and benches, is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee at any time of the day. If you’re flying in or out of LaGuardia Airport, make sure to take a quick stop here. Customers seem to love the cold brew at Kinship, calling it “one of the best in the city.” While the portion size is small, the almond milk lattes and soy cappuccinos are delicious. Kinship’s drinks lean more toward being pricey, but Kinship offers punch cards that reward you with a free coffee after a certain number of purchases.
